When it's cold and dark outside, it often takes double the effort to put on your running clothes, lace up your shoes and set off through the streets or woods.
So to help you turn your back on your piggy back, here are four motivational tips for you from me.
Facebook friends challenge you! A running community within facebook will help you overcome the battle with the pig dog. Don't you often feel guilty when you see how active your community has been today? Running groups in the social networks are an ideal way to get off your butt and start running despite the cold, despite the bad running weather.
Make a date with friends to exercise! It doesn't matter if it's for a run or to go to the gym. A date with your best friend is motivating and you can challenge each other during your workout. And you'll look forward to the reunion with your loved ones this way and that.
Reward yourself! For every exercise session, pat yourself on the back and be proud of yourself because you did it. Maybe a relaxing bath , a healthy salad or a delicious tea after the workout is an ideal reward for you. If so, treat yourself!
Set goals! One of the most important motivational elements is goal setting. What is your goal? Weight loss? The next half marathon in your city? As the saying goes, "the journey is the destination." You will see that from the moment you define your goal, you will approach sports with more motivation.
And - do you want more? Well, what are you waiting for? Let's go.
